Medication for ADHD can be transformative — but only when it's prescribed and monitored properly. Our approach follows NICE guidelines and the principles of the Shared Care agreement. We believe in starting carefully, monitoring closely, and giving families the information they need to feel confident every step of the way.
During the first 3 months after starting medication, we issue private prescriptions and review progress regularly — adjusting doses and managing any side effects. Once your child is on a stable, effective dose, we can ask the GP to take over prescribing under Shared Care, with us continuing to monitor via 6-monthly reviews.
